About Brand Name
Drugs
All drugs that we offer on this site are in their
generic form, listed by their brand name for
convenience. Every drug
in existence is given a generic name upon its
creation. The most popular and mass marketed drugs are
then also given a copyrighted brand or trade name for
sale purposes.
This is very similar to the way actors use a stage
name. Just as the actor is one person with two names,
these drugs are one chemical with two names.
Stage names and brand names serve the same purpose,
and that is to identify them deeply in the mind of the
public, to make them easy to remember. Both refer to
one actor, or one drug. So, Tony Curtis and Bernard
Schwartz are the same actor, two names.
About
Our Drugs
Our drugs are manufactured in India, which has an
enormous pharmaceutical industry, largely owned and
operated by US drug companies.
Consumers accept the quality of Indian drugs. A Google search on 01.16.07 for indian drug information returned 33,800,000, Thirty Three Million Eight Hundred Thousand hits on the internet.
Indian Patent law has a
quirk that under international law, allows
scientists there to reverse engineer the active
molecule of brand name drugs using a different process
than the original patent to do it, and obtain a
process patent of their own on the new process.
These drugs, legally made and patented in India,
without huge development and advertising costs are
legal for sale worldwide, at a fraction of the cost of
the name brand they duplicate, and that is why our
prices are low, and is the cause of the huge
controversy about the importation of drugs to the U.S.
The result is that India has become the largest
producer of generic drugs in the world, with a quality
that meets all health and medical standards. Our pills
and caps are machine sealed in bubble
packaging at the FDA inspected factory, untouched by human hands.
In point of fact, our agreement with the pharmacy
requires that all of the drugs we offer are made in
plants that are U.S. FDA inspected and approved.
US companies have spent billions in advertising to
convince you that brand and generic drugs are not the
same, although their use is encouraged by AARP, so now
you know the actual facts.
When you place an order, it is sent electronically to
our fulfillment pharmacy in India where it is filled
and dispensed by a licensed pharmacist. This pharmacy
has been in business for many years, and operates a
retail drug store chain with 13 branches and with thousands of local customers.
The pharmacy buys in large quantities from
manufacturers and warehouses an inventory using a
staff of professional buyers, and pharmacists. Our
orders are dispensed only by licensed pharmacists.
The
only way in which the fulfillment process for your
order differs from that used in filling orders for the
local retail customers of the pharmacy and its
branches, is that our completed, packed, and
labeled packages are placed in the hands of the air
express carrier instead of being
picked up personally at the pharmacy by local buyers
or delivered to the branches.
This business model yields many benefits for our
pharmacy customers.
This volume plus the professional pharmacy staff is of great
benefit to our customers. The sales volume creates
turnover that assures you that the drugs you get are
fresh and not near expiration, and the professional
staff, with long business experience,
eliminates any thought of errors, counterfeiting or illicit
manufacturing.
About Why
Our Drugs Are So Inexpensive
World Trade Organization (WTO) treaties between
nations protect patents and trademarks. India is one
of few nations that selected a protection scheme based
upon protection of the manufacturing process (Process
Patents) rather than using the more common scheme of
protecting the actual product (Product Patents).
As a result, Indian pharmaceutical chemists can
legally create, by reverse engineering, and sell
worldwide, drugs that are still patent protected
elsewhere if they do so using a process that creates
the identical drug through the use of a different
process.
Therefore these drugs can be marketed at prices that
reflect their real manufacturing cost, rather than a
monopoly price that is set without regard to
competition and regain the great cost of research and
development, and advertising and promotions to doctors
and the US public.
In addition India has very strict price controls on
the retail selling prices of drugs, and this keeps
Indian pharmacies from being able to raise their
prices higher than these limits.
About Narcotic Drugs and Controlled Substances
Our policy regarding narcotics or dangerous drugs is, that even with a prescription, the pharmacy will not supply anyone with narcotic drugs or tranquilizers or other controlled substances, such as sex hormones or anabolic steroids. This policy is to avoid any possible involvement with illicit drugs.
